About Teton Science Schools

Connecting people, nature, place and education has been the mission of Teton Science Schools since our founding in 1967, but the ways in which we continue to fulfill this charge are constantly evolving.

The recent opening of our new nearly 900-acre Jackson Campus has brought opportunities for dynamic growth. The inception of the Givens-Black Teacher Learning Center, the expansion of Journeys School and the increased residential capacity for educational programs has enabled Teton Science Schools to reach more kids, more families and more teachers than ever before.

Each of our core programs has a distinct purpose:

Educational Programs, educating people of all ages about natural and cultural history by exploring the Greater Yellowstone Geo-ecosystem
Graduate Program, guiding a select community of graduate students through a year-long program in place-based teaching, field science and outdoor leadership
Givens-Black Teacher Learning Center, engaging teachers in professional development opportunities that integrate educational excellence, innovation, leadership and place.
Journeys School, integrating ecology, culture and community to ensure academic excellence and personal success for Pre-K through 12th grade students in an independent school setting.
Wildlife Expeditions, connecting and nature through responsible wildlife observation and natural history explorations
Conservation Research Center, promoting natural resource stewardship through research and education.
