Application and Tuition Information

 

Application Process

The Graduate Program accepts 24 students each year. Although the 50-week program begins in August, we review applications throughout the year until the class of 24 is filled.

 

There are financial incentives throughout the process:


Students accepted before February 1, receive a $500 tuition deduction

Students accepted before March 1, receive a $250 tuition deduction

Students accepted before April 1, have their application fee waived

All admitted students must enter the program with a current Wilderness First Responder Certification. A certification class is offered at Teton Science Schools each August prior to the beginning of the program.

 

 

2008 – 09 Graduate Program Tuition:

Tuition includes 32 graduate credits through Utah State University and University of Wyoming. Fees include all academic course work, seminars and supplies.

Off-campus Options  
Students who choose to live off-campus pay an additional amount to cover meals.
$500 total for 50 week experience
On-campus Options
Include room and meals. There are three options that vary from $70-$90 per week. All living spaces come equipped with bed, dresser, desk and chair or couch (plus great views of the Tetons).
 

Basic, small rustic solo or studio cabins.

Scholarships and Funding Opportunities
Teton Science Schools offer ten merit scholarships that are awarded for accomplishments in scientific research, natural resource management, community involvement, environmental education, or environmental action. You may obtain a Merit Scholarship Application from the link below or from the Registrar.

Work-study is available to all graduate residents. Work-study opportunities vary based on the interests of students and the needs of Teton Science Schools.

Student loan opportunities are available for students simultaneously enrolled at a university.
