Journeys School Young Alumni Panel

All Journeys School parents are invited to attend the Young Alumni Panel which will connect current Journeys High School students with our outstanding recent graduates from the Class of 2011. The panelists will share anecdotes from their freshman year, university and GAP experiences, provide advice and insight on the college process and the transition to college and answer any questions from the student or parent body. The session will be facilitated by Heather Marks, Director of College Counseling and Alumni Relations. Please RSVP to Heather at heather.marks@journeysschool.org or 734-3711.

 

White Elephant
Wednesday, December 21
We are prepping for the 11th annual White Elephant Holiday Party! Students wishing to participate need to bring a wrapped gift on Wednesday, December 21st. Gifts should not exceed $5.00 if you are going to purchase… but feel free to gift a “gently used” item from around your house!

Surprise!
Wednesday, December 21
On Wednesday, December 21st all high school students need to be prepared with winter clothes for a surprise from their teachers! Be sure to bring a hat, gloves, waterproof pants and jacket! Come prepared!

Ski Days
Friday, January 13 and Friday, January 20
High school students will participate in the yearly excursions to Teton Village for two days of skiing after winter break. Two Fridays in a row, January 13th and 20th, all students will be involved in either skiing or snowboarding. Watch for more information from Khale Reno to come home soon.

Earn One, Give One and Service Learning Opportunity on Campus
Tuesday, December 20
All 5th through 12th grade students are invited to join members of the “Snow Ball” Gala and Auction committee from 3:30pm-5:00pm on Tuesday, December 20th in the Welcome Center lobby for a fun Earn One, Give One Service opportunity. We will teach students how to make (really cool) large paper snowflakes that we will be using for decorations. All supplies, cocoa and cookies provided. Please let Maggie Schilling (maggie.schilling@tetonscience.org) know if you can join us!

Congratulations Marena!
Tenth grade Journeys School student Marena Salerno Collins won the All State Orchestra competition in Viola. She will travel to Evanston, Wyoming January 15th-17th to perform with the top strings students in Wyoming. Congratulations on this great accomplishment!
