Elementary Schedule
Are you interested in your child's weekly school schedule? What days do they have art? What days do they have P.E.? Please click here for the elementary schedule for the week of September 12-16.

Sunscreen Reminder
Parents of elementary school children are asked to please apply sunscreen to your children in the morning before school. This layer will protect them during our outdoor morning recess. Teachers will provide additional sunscreen at lunchtime, and students will be asked to wait on the south concrete until they have reapplied sunscreen. Thank you for helping us enjoy this beautiful weather outdoors!

Student Medications
Elementary parents, please note the protocol for sending your child to school with medication. We appreciate your willingness to follow this important protocol. As stated in the Student and Family Handbook, “No medication may be administered by any school personnel without written direction from the physician, parent or guardian. Any medications brought to school are to be submitted to the appropriate advisor who will place the medication(s) in a secure location. Medications must be in their original containers or prescription bottles, including over-the-counter medication. Parents/Guardians must fill out and sign a Waiver for Dispensing Medications‘ form in order for medications to be administered.”

Student Folders
Students are putting the finishing touches on their special Journeys School folders that will travel between school and home each day. Look for that system to begin next week. If you have any questions about the best ways to communicate with school, please contact your child’s advisor.

Art Can Be Messy
Please remember to send your child in clothes appropriate to get messy on art day. Although Brooke encourages all students to wear smocks, spills and splashes still happen. Click here for the elementary schedule for the week to see which days your child has art. Please contact brooke.littman@journeysschool.org with any questions.

Friday Findings
Beginning September 30, students in grades K-2 are invited to bring in something to share for “Friday Findings” which takes place during our Friday morning meetings. A letter will be sent home in folders outlining the requirements of this treasured time.

Paper Towel Rolls?
Do you have any EMPTY paper towel rolls? Please save them and send them in! The 2-3 social studies classes are going to create their own telescopes. For more information, please contact bridget.killian@journeysschool.org

5th Grade Capstone Annoucements
A 5th grade Capstone meeting will be held Wednesday, September 14 from 6:00-7:00pm. Also, all 5th grade students will participate in a Capstone float trip with the Snake River Fund on Friday, September 16. Please bring appropriate clothing and a field lunch for a day on the Snake River. Be field ready! Contact jill.wright@journeysschool.org with any questions.
