Congratulations to the Robotics Team
Students from Journeys School competed against teams from across the state at the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Competition in Casper, Wyoming on March 17th. The student team, coached by Ethan Lobdell, designed and programmed a robot to go head to head with robots from 25 other regional schools. The Journeys School robotics team, consisting of students Ryan Levy, Michelle Slaughter, Melissa Slaughter, Wesley Mulligan, Collin Daily, Andreas Olvera, Alex Lang, and Marshall Pomeroy, was awarded the Rockwell Collins Innovate Award, which celebrates a team that not only thinks outside the box, but also has the ingenuity and inventiveness to make their designs come to life. Congratulations!
Congratulations Mary Muromcew!
The Wyoming State Spelling Bee was held in Casper Wyoming on March 17. There were 72 students from around the state that qualified at a county level to compete. Mary Muromcew, the only 3rd grade student at the competition, competed against students in 4th-8th grade. Mary won 8th place overall, and is looking forward to next year's competition. Way to go!
