Dr. Smith will also describe the newly upgraded Yellowstone earthquake-volcano monitoring network and show how the public can access the University of Utah real-time earthquake data.

Bob recently was awarded the Geological Society of America’s George P. Wollard award for outstanding contributions to geophysics and was honored in 2011 with U.S. Geological Survey’s John Wesley Powell Award.

The discussion is free and open to the public. Seating is on a first come-first served basis.
