Recreation

Wondering what else there is to do in Wyoming? For those looking to experience the local culture, there are lively events year-round in the town of Jackson, located just 18 miles from the Kelly Campus. Jackson has a vibrant culture of live music, community events and nightlife. A comprehensive bike path system links Jackson to the surrounding area, allowing for easy exploration. Jackson is also home to the National Museum of Wildlife Art, which contains a diverse collection of wildlife paintings, sculpture and other art mediums. To learn more about the community of Jackson, useful information can be found on the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce website or in the local newspaper.

Prefer to be outside? Jackson Hole is a world-renowned destination for hiking, skiing, backpacking, mountain biking, rock climbing and fishing. Information on any number of activities can be found here. The valley is surrounded on all sides by federal land ranging from the jagged peaks of the Tetons to the wild and rolling Gros Ventre mountain range. Right out the back door, there are numerous hiking trails connected directly to Kelly Campus in the spring, summer, and fall. In the winter, cross-country and snowshoe tracks form a different recreation network.
