After a 33-year career as a habitat biologist with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Steve Kilpatrick joined the Conservation Research Center this summer. He has been stationed in the Jackson area for the past 25 years where he spent his career collaborating with the Bridger-Teton National Forest, Grand Teton National Park, Bureau of Land Management and private landowners on habitat enhancement projects. He has also cooperated with the University of Wyoming and Iowa State University on elk, moose and bighorn sheep research projects in the Jackson area. Steve is one of the most respected biologists in the region, leading many key projects, winning countless awards, and building relationships among agencies and organizations. Steve brings considerable experience and knowledge to the Conservation Research Center in the areas of plant ecology, fire ecology, vegetation monitoring and grazing management. He is an amazing asset to the organization and will be teaching, doing research and managing our Contract Stewardship Program.
