Journeys School

Journeys School is a Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade independent school in Jackson Hole, Wyoming engaging college-bound students with an innovative and challenging curriculum that cultivates lifelong learning. Our program consists of four critical pillars that act together to empower students to change the world. Our students accept academic challenges and ask hard questions in a balanced, open-minded, and reflective manner.
Journeys School was accredited by the Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools in 2006 and is accredited to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program for grades 11 and 12.

Journeys School opened in the fall of 2001 as an independent school under the umbrella of Teton Science Schools. In the fall of 2005, the school moved into a permanent home on Teton Science Schools' Jackson Campus. At the same time and location, Teton Science Schools' Teacher Learning Center opened its doors to offer opportunities for visiting teachers to build professional knowledge and skills in experiential, integrated and place-based education.
As of fall 2009, there are 185 students enrolled at Journeys School with demand growing each year. Program development continues to ensure that the innovative, engaging and challenging curriculum reflects best educational practices.
