Teton Valley Community School of Teton Science Schools is a project-based, independent school located on a 10-acre campus in Victor, ID. We aim to educate the whole child by integrating academic excellence and character development with a community focus. Students in pre-school through 6th grade engage in a challenging curriculum that builds core academic knowledge. We use authentic projects to hone investigation, collaboration and problem-solving skills. These projects inspire children to invest in their own learning.
The school offers a creative and vibrant learning community in which students feel comfortable taking intellectual risks, participating in conflict resolution and practicing their leadership skills. Because of small class sizes, students receive individual attention from their teachers and are encouraged to learn at their own pace.
Students become active participants as they explore their world, ask and answer their own questions, and express unique thoughts and ideas. Parents play a critical role in the education of their children, as strong partnerships with teachers are carefully cultivated.
