Summer Adventures and Academy

Summer is coming up quicker than we realize. With Spring Break in our sights it’s time to plan for your child’s summer. Teton Science Schools has a full line-up of summer programs once again this year to entertain and educate your child.

In addition to our popular Science Adventures, we have a full complement of academic enrichment courses this summer to keep student minds sharp and get them ahead. Summer Academy at Journeys School courses are designed to challenge students in math, writing, engineering, language and college preparation. The courses are for students in elementary school (third through fifth grade), middle school (sixth through eighth) and high school (ninth through twelfth grades). The courses are being taught in the Journeys School facility. The one-week courses are half-day, with both morning and afternoon sessions, designed to fit into busy summer schedules. Topics change weekly and cover many subjects over the summer. Spanish, engineering, robotics, writing, math, college preparation and even Mandarin are offered. The fast, fun courses will give your student a leg-up when they go back to school next fall.

Our traditional Summer Science Adventures – for kids entering kindergarten through twelfth grade – mix science, adventure and fun in the outdoors while your child learns about our natural world, art, waterways, canoeing, geology and more. There are also overnight and multi-day backpacking adventures to let them fully explore Jackson Hole.

Also new this year is TSS WILD! – designed to give 7th-9th graders a group to hang out with as they go off on water, hiking and technology adventures. Every Thursday (June 27 – August 22) WILD Club will give our teen a group to hang out with for games, light dinner and adventures they create – within the structure of TSS.
