B.S. Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences
Abbey is joining the TSS Graduate Program with experience in habitat restoration, outdoor education, and volunteer management. She is originally from Chicago and graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2019 with a B.S. in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences and a concentration in Restoration Ecology. During her time at University of Illinois, she spent three summers working for the John G. Shedd Aquarium as a stewardship facilitator leading community workdays on local public lands, and after graduating, she moved to Southern California to work in outdoor education. She is excited to continue using the outdoors as a tool to connect and inspire communities of people while at Teton Science Schools. In her free time, you can find Abbey outside hiking, snowboarding, camping, and exploring new places!
