Avery Perkins

Avery recently graduated from Vassar College in upstate New York with a degree in International Studies and a minor in Sustainability. She is incredibly passionate about renewable energy and teaching people about the benefits of a widespread transition to cleaner energy sources. Avery interned with a community choice aggregator (CCA) and a New York State Senator as an undergraduate. While working with the CCA she was able to teach people about renewable energy. She designed an educational campaign that highlighted renewable energy technologies as well as the benefits of energy-efficient appliances. While working for the New York State Senate she attended and helped organize numerous community education events designed to raise awareness of the resources available to community members. Avery’s undergraduate experiences have taught her the importance of education in promoting environmentally friendly practices. In Avery’s free time, she loves to read, swim, and hike.
