Petria Fossel

Petria Fossel has been a full time resident of Wilson, WY since 2011 and has owned a home here since 1993. She is heavily involved in community organizations, most recently joining the Development Committee of Teton Science Schools in the spring of 2017.  Petria has volunteered with Teton Literacy Center (tutor and board member), Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (host since 2011), St. John’s Episcopal Church (Stephen’s Minister, Lector and Lay Eucharistic Minister), Grand Teton Music Festival Auxiliary (Secretary), Thursday Roundtable (Executive and Program Committees), St. John’s Hospital Auxiliary, and Wyoming Council for International Visitors. Petria and her husband of 33 years, Scott Fossel, are also members of the Global Business Roundtable.  Outside of Wyoming, Petria recently joined the Alumnae Board of Miss Porter’s School in Farmington, CT.

Petria and Scott raised their children Christina (30) and Pieter (26) in Greenwich, CT where they attended Greenwich Academy and Brunswick School, respectively. Pieter graduated from St. Paul’s School of which Scott is also an alumnus. The Fossels have a long history of association with independent schools. In addition, Scott was Co-Chair of the Murie Center Board.

Petria worked at Chemical Bank for 14 years, leaving as a Vice President to raise her children. She was active as a volunteer in Greenwich, most significantly at the Junior League where she held various leadership and board positions. Petria has a BA (Art History) from Harvard University, an MBA (Finance) from Columbia Business School and an MSW (Clinical) from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Work.
