Originally from Upstate New York, Theresa is joining the TSS cohort after teaching in the Monterey Bay area for many years and raising her two sons in Santa Cruz.  Her favorite aspect of teaching was creating and leading class trips for her 5th-7th graders in amazing locations such as Calaveras Big Trees State Park, Lassen Volcanic National Park, the Ventana Wilderness, Yosemite National Park, Waddell State Beach, the San Francisco Bay, and Big Sur.  Her passion for Outdoor Education brought her to TSS where she hopes to extend her range of knowledge, experience, and comfort in leading and teaching children in natural environments.  A fierce advocate of good health and fitness, her favorite outdoor hobby is running, followed by swimming, hiking, biking, and triathlon.  She also loves to drum, dance, knit, read, and play her recorder.  This is her first time in Wyoming and she feels both intrigued and inspired by the challenge of studying, exploring, and teaching in this beautiful landscape.
