Tristan Moehs

Working with the Art Association this summer, Tristan is grateful to be returning to Jackson, where his mom was raised and where members of his family still live. A native of Seattle, Tristan went to school in NY, where he got his bachelors from Sarah Lawrence College. His most recent position brought him to the NE Mojave, where he worked with the Bureau of Land Management, helping to develop an interpretive plan for Gold Butte National Monument. Throughout his education and professional work he has maintained personal artistic efforts in film photography, wood carving, and fiction writing. The chance to grow as an artist and as an educator within the Art Association’s distinguished community is one of the many things that has drawn him to Jackson this summer. Also serving as an attractive force is Jackson’s out-of-doors, where Tristan hopes to spend most of his free time, hiking, climbing, and laying in the shade of a tree with a good book.
