Indoor Recess
If it is below zero we do not go out for recess. We have had quite a few recesses when it is still quite chilly, though, so thank you for helping kids be prepared (face masks have been a good idea lately). We have used our indoor time to dance, do exercise routines, build, create a spa (student driven), improve Kendama skills, and make music.

Elementary Parents Invited to Community Lunch 1/27
Please see the email from Shannon and Zan inviting you to RSVP to Community Lunch 1/27 as a thank you for reaching annual fund goals. We hope to see many of you there!

Rising Sixth Grade Students (that's right - half way there!)
Thank you to all the fifth grade families for your participation in Middle School Information Night. It was a fun and informative evening learning about the program and staff. If you were not able to attend, please watch the video link Shannon sent to you and reach out to Ethan Lobdell at any time with questions.

Check Out Haiku
Please take a moment to visit your child's Haiku pages to see all of the wonderful happenings in elementary school. The Elementary Information page also has notes, announcements, and pictures that might be of interest! There are fun opportunities coming up and journey information will be posted soon.

Stage Stop Vet Checks

The third grade students will be visiting the dog sled vet checks on the morning of Friday, January 27th. We will be off campus from 8:30 until 10:15. We look forward to working in what we learn to our curriculum and encouraging Addie, who was selected as a Jr. musher this year.

Ice Skating
The second through fifth grade students will be taking skating lessons (for all abilities) at Snow King February 6-9th. We would appreciate help with skates/on skates/off at 12:50 and 1:30 if you can spare a few minutes. Fourth and fifth grade students will be going on the 6th and 8th, and second and third on the 7th and 9th. Please email Kevin at kevin.rauch-lynch@journeysschool.org if you can help.
K-1 Students will be exploring other winter sports here on campus in PE class.
