Two Film Screenings:
The Mask You Live In and Miss Representation
Monday & Tuesday, November 16 & 17, 7:00 pm
Center for the Arts Theater

Journeys School, in partnership with the Millham family, is proud to present two impactful films that explore youth, gender, and culture at the Center for the Arts Theater. Both films are appropriate for high school age and older. (Some reviews suggest ages 16 and older.) The Mask You Live In (Monday evening) follows boys and young men as they struggle to stay true to themselves while negiotiating America's narrow definition of masculinity. Miss Representation (Tuesday evening) exposes how mainstream media contribute to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence in America. Each film will be followed by a panel discussion with experts, including:
Joe Ehrmann, Former NFL Player and Current Coach and Motivational Speaker (Monday)
Megan Grassell, Founder and CEO of Yellowberry Company: Bras for Young Girls (Tuesday)
Chad Green, Dean of Students at St. Paul’s School (Monday and Tuesday)
Jennifer Siebel Newsom, American Documentary Filmmaker and Actress (Monday and Tuesday)
For tickets ($5 each) please contact The Center Box Office at (307) 733-4900 or jhcenterforthearts.org.

Winter Celebration

Walk Festival Hall

All families are invited to our annual Winter Celebration at Walk Festival Hall in Teton Village. The Winter Celebration is a music and dance performance put on by all students in pre-k through 10th grade. We will begin the performance at 5:30 pm, with doors opening at 5:00 pm. Students are encouraged to dress in their best holiday attire as we celebrate winter and the things we have learned in this first portion of the school year. Stay tuned for information about an all-school dinner event that will follow the performance!

Food Drive!
Lucy Gillett (5th grade) is doing a food drive for her capstone project which will benefit the food Pantry of Jackson Hole. Bins will be out this week and next week. Bins will be located in the elementary building and in the middle and high school building (there will be one in each building). If your family could please donate two to three non perishable items for this great cause it would be much appreciated. Thank you!
