5th Grade Capstone Presentations
Tuesday-Friday, May 19-22, 8:30-11:45 am
All Journeys School parents are invited to the 5th Grade Capstone Presentations. Presentations will be held upstairs in the Teacher Learning Center (the building where the Journeys School office is located). If you attend on a given day, please plan to stay for the whole morning's session to reduce distractions caused by people coming and going and to show support for all of the presenters. Junior Annika Jorgensen Scores in the Top 3% Nationwide on PSAT
Of some 1.5 million juniors that entered the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the PSAT last October, Annika is among the 50,000 highest scoring participants nationwide. In the Fall, she has the opportunity to be named one of 16,000 National Merit Semifinalists who will then have an opportunity to continue in the competition for about 8,000 National Merit Scholarships to be offered in 2016. The National Merit Scholarship Program honors students who show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies. Congratulations to Maya Ramkowsky and Larkin Kern for their impressive performances at the Wyoming State Gymnastics Meet in Douglas, Wyoming. Maya placed second in the state overall for level 6, and Larkin placed first overall in level 5! Way to go, ladies! We are very proud of you!
Parent volunteers are encouraged to assist with community lunch. To volunteer, please arrive in the dining lodge at 11:40 am. All lunches include garden fresh salad, orange slices, cookies and milk.
