Welcome, Kate!
We are pleased to introduce Kate Elkind, Journeys School's new After School Program Faculty. Kate grew up in Massachusetts and Vermont, exploring the Appalachians. Skiing led her to attend college in the Pacific Northwest at Whitman College where she earned her B.A. in Geology. She explored her love of the natural world through studying volcanoes of the Aleutian Arc in Alaska and geologic mapping of the Tobacco Root Mountains in Montana. Kate spent last winter skiing in Jackson Hole and last summer as an AmeriCorps field intern with TSS. Please join us in welcoming her to the Journeys School community!

Four-Day President's Day Weekend
Friday, February 13 and Monday, February 16 will be no-school days. While faculty will be on campus for Professional Development on Friday, the school will be closed on Monday in observance of President's Day.

Parent Observation Days
Observation days are for parents of students that are rising to a new level next year. Be a classroom observer to get a sense of what life will be like for your student next year! We encourage parents to sit in on classes, check out the work displayed around the classrooms and talk with teachers and students (in between classes, of course). All visits will start in the Journeys School office. Please schedule by appointment with Warren Samuels at (307) 732-7745 or warren.samuels@journeysschool.org.
