This week, Journeys School will be starting its 5-Week Annual Fund Campaign.
Like most annual fund campaigns, the Journeys School Annual Fund helps cover the difference, often called the “gap”, between the total cost of an annual Journeys School education and tuition. However, at Journeys School, our Annual Fund is more than just a fundraising campaign. Equally important, our Annual Fund is a time for our entire community to celebrate the impact of Journeys School and to show our support for the amazing things our staff and students will accomplish this year. In short, it is an opportunity to “Make Journeys Possible”! Please click here to watch the video.
Our fundraising goal is $468,000 (including funds raised at our annual Gala) and an equally important goal of 100% participation! A high level of participation is a vote of confidence from our community and has a tremendous impact on gifts from outside sources such as foundations. This means that every gift is appreciated, no matter the size!

The Journeys School Driver Provider bus routes will be adjusted for the early release schedule. The 3:35 departure time will be 12:25 on this day and then follow the regular routes. To determine afternoon bus stop arrival times, subtract 3 hours and 10 minutes from the regular route times, which you can find on the Parent Resources page of Haiku. Unfortunately the Idaho START bus does not have a mid-day route so please plan accordingly. Please contact email@example.com or (307) 734-9851 if you have concerns or questions.
Early Re-enrollment Due November 14
All current families should have received early re-enrollment paperwork in the mail with a return due date of November 14th. The early re-enrollment discount allows families to secure without incurring any tuition increase for 2015-16. If you did not receive your package or if you have questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (307) 734-3710.

December 3rd Winter Vocal Concert
Wednesday, December 3, 6:30 pm
Everyone is invited to this event which will take place in the Dining Lodge on campus on Wednesday, December 3rd at 6:30 pm. This program was put together to honor our vocalists at Journeys School with a special program just for them—BUT everyone is invited! Honored performers that evening will be the Elementary School Choir, the Middle School Vocal Class, and the High School A cappella singers. The concert is expected to last about an hour. The evening is free and appropriate for all audiences. Bring your friends and family and celebrate the wonderful gift that is vocal music in our school. (Students participating, please dress nicely for the performance, and arrive at the Dining Lodge no later than 6:15 pm. Thank you!)
Jackson’s Got Talent!

We received word that our very own Journeys School A cappella singers were chosen to officially compete and perform in the Fundraising event called “Jackson’s Got Talent!” hosted by Habitat for Humanity and Hotel Terra. The event takes place on the evening of December 12th (the night before the Journeys School Gala) from 6-11 pm. This evening is much more than just a talent show. Organizers have a goal of raising money and awareness to aid in rebuilding homes destroyed in the November 2013 Philippines Super Typhoon, Typhoon Haiyan. Free Money Management Seminar
Teton Science Schools is pleased to offer a free community seminar on money management. We have invited Ed Scheer, a Financial Advisor with Waddell & Reed to present the topic: Money Management: Identifying Issues and Opportunities. The presentation provides an overview of how proper money management can be a blueprint for your financial future and can help you pursue your future goals and objectives – including budgeting, how money works, managing risks, retirement, and other topics. We invite you to learn more about managing your money. The seminar is open to any interested participants—employees, JS/TVCS parents, high school students, and community members. Parent volunteers are encouraged to assist with community lunch. To volunteer, please arrive in the dining lodge at 11:40 am. All lunches include garden fresh salad, orange slices, cookies and milk.
