Parent Resources Page on Haiku
A huge thank you to all the parents who attended last week's Parent Council Kickoff event! Part of the meeting included a parent-driven brainstorming session to come up with topics for parenting and education sessions at the monthly meetings, as well as some suggestions for better communication out to parents. One of the suggestions Journeys School was able to act on immediately was to create a Parent Resource page in Haiku! Here you will find lots of important all-school information, links, and downloads, including the new bus schedule , the 2014-15 Journeys School Calendar, and more! Remember that being a Journeys School parent means you are already a Parent Council member! We welcome your participation and feedback!

Congratulations, Makena!
Congratulations to Makena Morehead, Journeys School Learning Specialist, for completing her Master's in Elementary Education from Western Governors University! Way to go!

Welcome Center Lost & Found
Each level of Journeys School has a Lost and Found. In addition, the Welcome Center has a Lost and Found that contains items found in the Dining Lodge, the Education Center, and other shared areas. The Welcome Center Lost and Found will be sorted and emptied every two weeks, with unclaimed items donated to Browse & Buy. If your child is missing any items, please be sure to check their level's Lost and Found as well as the Lost and Found located inside the Welcome Center. The first clearing-out of the Welcome Center Lost and Found will be Monday, September 29.
