Whatever the Weather
We appreciate how prepared students have been for our up and down October weather. Thank you for helping them remember the big 5 since we are outside rain or shine or sleet!
This Thursday we welcomed grandparents and grandfriends into our classrooms between 10:30 and 12 pm. Grandparents participated in literacy and math activities throughout the morning. We always enjoy spending this time with the grandparents.
Professional Development Friday (no school)
We look forward to a deep look at our behavior plan and policies this Friday during our professional development day with Pamela Paresky. Enjoy the day with your children at home, while we work hard on improving systems and being intentional about the culture in elementary school.
Learning Team Meetings (DATE CORRECTION)
We will begin our first of two rounds of Learning Team Meetings at the end of the month. Starting October 24th and running for two weeks until November 4th teachers, students, and parents will be meeting to discuss social/emotional and academic growth so far this year. *This is a change from the dates listed last week- apologies! You will receive an email from your child's advisor by October 14th with a schedule of available meeting times and general information. We look forward to celebrating each student with you!
Thank you to Nima Sherpa, Aimee Zeleznik, and Jill Vatter for snack and rag assistance. Next up on 11/4: Libby Hall, Norene Cannedy, and Cindy Bartz. Also a HUGE thanks to Meladi Hagedorn and Krista Koehler for being our upper and lower elementary Parent Council Representatives this year. Hooray!
Grade 2&3 Art Exhibit at the Jackson Whole Grocer
Students are exhibiting their soft-pastel on paper monsters at the Jackson Whole Grocer from Friday, October 14 through Halloween. We hope you will find time to go and see them.
