After a nice, long break we hope everyone is feeling refreshed and ready for an uninterrupted stretch to focus on classes and academics. Thank you for getting the Big 5, water bottles, indoor shoes, and folders back to school. We have just a few items to have on the radar:
January 10th and 11th: 5th grade visits to Middle School and PreK visits to Kindergarten
January 13th: Friday All School Meeting to celebrate Martin Luther King Day
February 15th and 16th: Winter Journeys (Information will be forthcoming mid January)
February 17-20: No school Friday or Monday (Teachers at school for Professional Development on the 17th)
Reminder that because of a generous family (Thank You, Thank You) Community Lunch will be back in action NEXT Friday the 13th.
Arne Jorgensen will be joining the 2-3 design/engineering class on January 9th @ 2:20 to share his architectural input on the original design of the Journeys School mudrooms. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions, share their prototypes/designs, and get advice for next steps/modifications to the mudrooms. Thanks, Arne!
In Physical Education we are working on planning skating lessons for all abilities at Snow King ice arena coming up at the end of the month. Stay tuned!
Special thanks to Meladi for her planning and work on the decorations for Winter Celebration. We also appreciate the parents who were able to come set up decorations with our change of plans and Norene, the students, and all of you for your flexibility during a winter storm!
Thank you to Colleen G. and Cindy D. for snacks this week and to Norene for washing rags. Next up for 1/13 is: Kjera and Heather on snacks and Corbin on rags. We appreciate YOU!
