We hope you all enjoyed the long weekend. It has been a busy and fun week in Journeys Elementary: students in 2/3 Spanish class are working on the "salsa" unit and danced with Dancers Workshop, students in 2/3 science welcomed Brian Lenz for an engineering session, fifth grade attended James and the Giant Peach at the Center for the Arts to support Armando, Avery, and Jade, and graduate students have been involved in cool lessons on measurement and data collection in and outside of the classroom. Thanks to Matt McGee for sharing his snow knowledge during math!
Students are generating excitement about being young authors. Teachers will submit student work for consideration in the Wyoming Young Authors contest in the next two weeks. The end of the trimester is also approaching on March 10th - an early release day!
The second and third grade students will be performing their musical on March 7 at 2:35 in the Dining Lodge. We are excited to see the results of all of their hard work and learning. We hope to see you there!
Our parents are amazing. They make treats, visit classrooms, support homework, share expertise, and help with the routines. Thanks to Heidi and Amanda for helping with snacks and rags this week. Next up for 3/3: Rudelle and Cindy D. and for 3/10: Kjera (snacks and rags) and Cindy D.
