9-10 Journey
A special journey for students in grades 9-10 took place Thursday and Friday this week in the Bridger-Teton National Forest, Grand Teton National Park, and on surrounding private property. The purpose of this journey was to further develop our sense of place within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem as we explored the concepts of beast and ecotones through a variety of scientific and cultural lenses. We engaged students in academic lessons based upon our work in English, Biology and Social Studies classes. Students did hands-on field work, conversed with local experts, and learned from researchers and performers, while practicing their skills as supportive and productive members of a learning community.
