Getting River Ready
There is a Fifth Grade Capstone Meeting on May 11th at 5:30pm. This is a required meeting for fifth grade students and parents in preparation for the upcoming capstone trip on the Colorado River.
ERB Testing Week:
Please help us with attendance next week for third through fifth grade students during our week of ERB testing. Helping students get to bed early and eat and hydrate well will also be a great way to make the week a success. As supportive as we all will be, this week can still be stressful and tiring. We will not have additional homework assigned to facilitate early bedtimes. Parents of 3rd-5th grade students: If you are willing to contribute a healthy “brain food” snack on May 2nd, 3rd, or 4th we would appreciate the added energy during a week of challenging brain work. This would be a snack for 40 students. Please contact Shannon if you are willing to help.
On May 13th fourth and fifth grade students will be having a World’s Fair during our math block. Parents be aware that students are asked to make a food item that represents the country they have been studying and will present. Thanks for your support! Other students will be the guests at this World’s Fair event.
Canvas Bag Giveaway!
Students in grades K-5 participated in the Jackson Whole Grocer’s Canvas Bag Project. Students worked to decorate canvas bags in an effort to help our environment by reducing the amount of plastic grocery bags. Bags from students across the county will be given away at the Whole Grocer on Saturday, May 7th from 9:30 am-12:00 pm.
