Successful End of the Year Journeys!
We are grateful for such successful final journeys for our elementary. From the Gros Ventre Slide and Yellowstone to the Wind River Reservation and the Colorado River, our students stepped out of comfort zones, challenged themselves, learned tons of new information, and bonded with each other. We appreciate the parent support and yummy snacks that helped sustain spirits along the way. These journeys, and the incredible planning that goes into them, are part of what makes our school the special place that it is. Have a great summer!
Summer Reading and Recommendations
We will send home summer recommendations and reading next week. Next year our theme is “communities” and our summer reading for 3-5 grade will reflect this theme. Trimester reports will be mailed mid-June.
Remember to take the time to view your child’s portfolio with them at some point this June. K-1 students will have a paper portfolio of their best work and favorite memories and 2-5 grade students have been working independently in technology class to build an electronic portfolio that reflects these same qualities. Asking questions and reflecting with your child about their learning and growth is always a great way to reinforce critical thinking and celebrate!
