Halloween Happenings

At Journeys School we will be celebrating our creativity and the time of the year with our traditional Halloween parade. Students of all ages are invited to dress up in their costumes if they feel inspired. Because this is an all ages parade we ask for costume weapons and blood/gore to be saved for after school activities. At 8:30am Prek will parade through elementary and then will be joined by the elementary students to parade through the middle school. Parents are welcome to come to upper campus to watch and take photos (or join in!). Elementary students should bring a change of clothes and change at first recess. Please help limit the amount of post-Halloween candy that comes to school to keep the children focused and on track at school. Knowing that Halloween is on a Monday, please also consider that Tuesday is a regular day at school. Thank BOO!

Author's Teas and Social Studies Presentations: October 31st at 8:45 am

We will be celebrating final writing projects with Author's Teas in first, second, and third grades following the Halloween parade. Dabney's class will meet in the lower south, Megan's class in the lower middle, and Shannon's class in the upper middle room. We look forward to sharing with parents if they are able to come at that time. Parents of fourth and fifth grade students are also invited to join Rachael, Garrett and the students in the upper south room to share social studies projects.

Big 5 or 6!

With our crazy fall weather rain and snow gear has been appreciated. Thank you for helping to keep kids prepared, warm and dry.

Learning Team Meetings

We are underway with our team meetings. Thank you for attending and being part of the learning team that cares about, and attends to, your child's growth and well-being. Please schedule a meeting with your child's advisor if you have not yet done so.

Appreciations

Thank you in advance for snacks and rag support on 11/4 from Libby, Norene, and Cindy B. and on 11/11 from Heather, Patricia, and Aimee. A HUGE thank you to Parent Council for stocking the refrigerator for conference weeks. You are the best!
