Thank you to all parents for packing your children with all of the “big five” items and providing good warm layers. Children are having fun outside and staying warm! A big thank you to Liz Parker for washing all of our rags. We really appreciate it.
To prepare students for the transition, Erin, Emmy and the second year program Pre-K students will spend two half-days as a Kindergarten student in January . Pre-K students have been spending time with current K friends every month through meaningful activities such as letter writing, baking and play time. Visit days will be Tuesday, January 10th and Wednesday, January 11th. If your child is in the second year program please be at school by 8am.
R Park Journeys
We will be heading back to the R park Tuesday, January 17th and Wednesday, January 18th.
We Will Be Calling You…
Your child’s advisor will be calling you over the next two weeks to answer any questions that you may have about next year’s plans. Our next Learning Team Meetings are scheduled for mid-March, at which time we will review your child’s development. We look forward to talking with you.
New Gear, New Labels!
If your child was lucky enough to receive some new gear over the holidays please make sure to label it. Our lost and found is rather full and we know how disappointing it is to children and parents to lose new items. Thanks for your help!
Rest and Relaxation “Cozy Stuff” and Water Bottles
Don’t forget to bring you child’s “cozy stuff” for rest and relaxation time and water bottles to school.
We are still interested in your christmas trees. If you have not gotten rid of your yet please feel free to bring them to the pre-k play yard. We would to add them to our outside play.
Thank you to the Dewey family for providing snack this week!
If your child does not come to school on a Monday, we would greatly appreciate if snack could be dropped off the Thursday or Friday before or if possible that Monday morning. This will ensure that we have enough snack for all children throughout the entire week. We truly appreciate all the delicious food parents bring in to give children adequate energy for the day.
The next family up is the Daavettila family scheduled for the week of January 9th.
If you have a conflict with the week that you are signed up for or have any questions, please direct them to Paige at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Below is a reminder for upcoming weeks:
January 16th: Mia Scharnhorst
January 23rd: Miles Koehler
January 30th: Nora Nydam
Thank you families for providing delicious fresh options for your children.
