6th and &th Grade Extended Journey
Monday-Friday, March 6-10

The middle school 6th and 7th-grade extended winter journey is taking place the week of Monday, March 6th, 2017. We will be conducting unique programming on that Monday, here on the Wyoming side of the Tetons. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday we will be spending time over in Teton Valley, Idaho at the NOLS campus. That Friday we will be on campus until 12:10 when school is dismissed early. Stay tuned for a more detailed letter, itinerary, and gear list next week.

Students Design Earthquake-Safe Structures
Design students have begun a new unit, in collaboration with Science class, where we will explore designing and building earthquake-safe structures. Check out Haiku for an overview of learning targets and activities in the unit. Also, tentatively mark your calendars for Thursday, March 16th from 2:15 - 3:00 for an open invitation to come watch our final test of student designed earthquake-proof structures. We will be using a shake table to simulate earthquakes of increasing magnitude to see which building survives the strongest quake!
