Spelling Bee
Thank you to the ten elementary students who bravely signed up to do the Scripp's Spelling Bee on Friday, February 10th. We are still confirming times, but we hope to be starting at 12:30 or 1 pm  in the Education Center. Parents are welcome to come and watch. We will provide a few study sessions next week, but the majority of preparation should be happening at home.

Math Challenge and Friday afternoon electives were a great hit last week. We look forward to more time spent learning new skills and ideas of interest! Thanks again to all of our volunteers! Choir will be starting up again on Friday, February 10th.

Ice Skating Next Week Grades 2-5

Students will be going to the Snow King Arena for skating lessons next week on their PE afternoons. 4/5 will go Monday and Wednesday and 2/3 on Tuesday and Thursday. The rink REQUIRES helmets. Please bring your own, along with gloves and appropriate clothing for skating indoors. Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to help with skate tying. If you do not have access to a helmet, please email Kevin Rauch-Lynch.

Journey Information
If you have not returned your child's journey participation form, please do so as soon as possible so teachers can plan appropriately. We appreciate all the family support of our grand adventures.

Valentine's Day
We will be at school for Valentine's Day this year. In order to celebrate, advisory groups will be meeting on Tuesday morning to do a special activity together. Students should not bring other Valentines from home as advisory time will serve as our time dedicated to thinking about kindness and friendship and making Valentines. However, if you are interested in making a special Valentine's Day snack to add to the celebration, please let Shannon know.

TVCS Visits

Teton Valley Community School kindergarten student and teachers visited this week. They were learning about the news business and were in Jackson to visit the recycling center and to interview our students for a story for their newspaper. We loved having them, eating lunch with them, and learning about their neat project.

Thank you to the Hagedorns for donating even more sleds to our quiver! Thank you also for the following parents for volunteering to help with snacks and rags: Leah and Norene, Kit and Cindy Daly this week, and for 2/24 Heidi and Amanda!
