9/10 Integrated Water Unit Field Days

This coming Tuesday and Thursday, 9th and 10th grade students will be spending time away from the Journeys School campus and out around the valley examining all the ways that water connects us. Students will consider the many forms, sources, stakeholders, and future availability of water here in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. In social studies, chemistry, and English classes, students have been learning about water through different lenses. The field days and a final project will challenge students to apply and integrate the content learned in their different classes to address a local water issue. 9th and 10th grade students will be off campus from 11am-2pm on Tuesday (5.16) and all day on Thursday (5.18).

High School Spring Journey
The high school spring journey for grades 9-11 will take place May 30 - June 2 in Lander, WY. Working in focus groups, students will assess the sustainability of the Lander community in respect to the environment, economy, and social equity. We also plan to extend elements of the students’ integrated study of water. A letter that defines the educational and community goals as well as the packing list will be mailed the week of April 15.
