Thank you Grandparents!
Thank you to to all the grandparents who joined us for Grandparents' Day. We were so happy to have the opportunity to show them all of the great learning that is taking place, and we thank them for all of the support they give to families!

Garrett Takes the Gatorade for Elementary

Kudos to Garrett for being a good sport while being doused with a giant bucket of Gatorade in the cold weather last week. The students voted to have Garrett be our elementary representative to celebrate Journeys School participation in Old Bill's Fun Run.

Teton County Fire and EMS Visit
The Groovy Ground Squirrels enjoyed a visit with our Teton County emergency services trucks and professionals on Tuesday. They talked to the students about fire safety, showed them what it would look like if a firefighter had to come into a house, and what to do in case of emergencies. Our PE teacher from last year, Kevin, who is a volunteer firefighter, even came to visit. Thank you Fire and EMS for your time, energy, and the trucks, of course!

Upcoming Learning Team Meetings
The elementary faculty are scheduling Learning Team Meetings (the equivalent of parent teacher conferences) on October 23rd from 12:00-6:00pm and October 25th from 3:30-5:30pm. These 25 minute meetings will include the students for the first ten minutes and finish with parents and teachers for the last 15 minutes. Advisors will be sending out sign up sheets and more detailed information soon. The conference trade day follows on Friday when there is a No School day.

Thank you to Betsy and Neesha for helping with snacks and rags this week! Next week Vonde and Tamsen are up and then Vonde and Lisen for 10/27 (since it is NO School, let's make it the 26th).

Also we are very happy to have the following Parent Council Reps for elementary:
K-1 Kate Falk
2-3 Aimee Zeleznik
4-5 Meladi Hagedorn

Thank you so much for your willingness to coordinate special elementary events and requests.
