I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For...
Ice Cream! The elementary had two classes that were the winners of the ice cream social based on attendance at the Chili Cook-off. Thank you to all the families who where able to attend or participate. We had a lot of representation at a really fun event! Thanks to Kate and Meladi for providing the goodies.
Author Visit Next Tuesday
Melissa Thomasma, one of Journey School's first graduates, will be visiting elementary to help release her new book, Cinder the Rescue Cat. Signed copies of the book will be at the book fair next week. Students will have a chance to visit the book fair with classes to make wish lists but plan on a time to stop by with them to shop for great reading material supplied by Valley Bookstore.
End of First Trimester
This Friday's early release marks the end of our first trimester. The number of journeys, projects, and community connections our student's experienced is amazing. Teachers will be working on trimester reports this week and you should receive the reports by the end of November. Thank you to the elementary staff for their creativity, planning, care, and hard work. We look forward to more great experiences to come!
Thank you for our snack/rag helper this week: Aimee Z. Next week Colleen and Tamsen are up and the following week, Carrie F. There are still volunteer spots to fill to bring a Friday snack for elementary or take the cleaning rags home to wash over the weekend.
