Cold Weather
Brrr! The snow is coming; stay prepared by dressing your child warmly (long sleeves, pants, and Tall socks) and packing their hat and gloves/mittens each day. We refer to everything as the BIG FIVE: snow pants, boots, coat, hat, and mittens. It would be great if you could also pack a neck gaiter or scarf to keep out the cold. We have noticed that some snow pants aren’t long enough to keep the snow out. If you have longer snow pants that can fit over snow boots that would be wonderful.
You can get in the habit now of bringing additional outdoor clothes in a canvas tote - storing them separately keeps other important items dry and allows us to bring their bag to a location where it's easier to get dressed. Thank you for being prepared and labeling all of your children’s belongings!

Holiday Traditions
Each year we invite parents to come in and share some of their holiday family traditions with the children. We will be inviting up to two parents Monday 12. 18 and Tuesday 12.19 to come and share a tradition during focused exploration time from 9:30-10:45am. More information will be arriving in your inbox soon! We look forward to sharing this special time of year with you.

R Park Journeys
We will be heading back to the R park next Wednesday, December 6th and the following week, Tuesday, December 12th. Please make sure that your child comes prepared with the Big 5 in order for us to stay warm and dry on our exploration. We would greatly appreciate if all children could arrive before 8:45am. We aim to leave by 8:45am so that we can have the most time possible at the R park. Thank you in advance for your help with this.

Christmas Trees
After winter break we will be looking for 4-5 Christmas trees to add to our playard. They can be dropped off at any time. Thank you so much.

Lost and Found
Please check the lost and found for items that might belong to you child. Thank you.

Snack
Thank you to the Souter family for providing snack this week!
If your child does not come to school on a Monday, we would greatly appreciate if snack could be dropped off the Thursday or Friday before or if possible that Monday morning. This will ensure that we have enough snack for all children throughout the entire week. We truly appreciate all the delicious food parents bring in to give children adequate energy for the day.

The next family up is the Dewey family scheduled for the week of December 4th.
If you have a conflict with the week that you are signed up for or have any questions, please direct them to Emmy at emmy.watsabaugh@journeysschool.org
