The First Week of School: What to Expect
Welcome back! We are thrilled to kick off the 2012-13 year. Our first week's activities will help us to acquaint (or reacquaint) ourselves with each other and the school. Students will get to know each other throughout the week with ice breakers and community challenges; students will have introductory classes, becoming familiar with the year’s theme “Conflict and Cooperation,” topics of study, and our journey to Yellowstone National Park; and students will meet with Dimmie Ziegler, executive director of the Teton County Public Library, to kick off their first unit of study in language arts class.
Supplies and Shoes
Help your child be prepared the first days of school with their computers and school supplies. Also, be sure they bring comfortable indoor shoes (these stay at school and are only worn inside to keep our classrooms clean) as well as athletic shoes to be used only for Physical Education class.
