Malone Scholarship

Scholarship for Grades 7-10

Mountain Academy is proud to be one of 50 schools in America who are part of the Malone Scholarship Program. The Malone Family Foundation was founded in 1997 by Dr. John C. Malone, a well-known communications and media executive and investor, and his family, with one principal objective: to improve access to quality education for gifted students who lack the financial resources to best develop their talents.

The Malone Family Foundation funds scholarships for identified talented and gifted students with financial need on our Jackson campus.

Who’s Eligible?

Students applying for admissions to grades 7-10 who meet the following criteria:

Be a citizen of the United States
Meet all admissions criteria for the Jackson campus
Show superior motivation for academic excellence evidenced by grade reports and test scores
Demonstrate financial need to qualify for funding of at least 30 percent of tuition through the financial consideration process

How to Apply

To apply for the Malone Scholarship, please go through the Mountain Academy Application and Tuition Assistance process with the addition of academic testing to be completed on the Jackson campus. Testing visits can be scheduled through the Admissions Office. Applicants of the Malone Scholarship are also eligible for Tuition Assistance.
