The Languages of Materials: Watercolor

Participants will learn how to use watercolor as a tool for language and exploration. Come learn through play and be inspired to use new materials and tools in your teaching.

Open your mind to new experiences!

In the spirit of the Reggio Emilia Atelier there are a hundred (and a hundred more) languages and ways of listening, inventing, and possibilities in the mind of a child.

Open your mind to new experiences through exploring the language of watercolor in an evening workshop.

Our evening will begin with an introduction to working with watercolor with children through past project examples. Participants will learn how to use tools as well as basic techniques for using watercolor with guest artist and Master Teacher for the University of Wyoming Art Museum, Jennifer Smith.

Following an instructional period, we will have time for open-ended exploration with materials pre-mailed to participants. Come learn through play and be inspired to use new materials and tools in your teaching!
