Sophie Coolidge

Loving the mountains in New Hampshire, Sophie attended Davidson College in North Carolina to study Environmental Social Science. After learning about the connection between humans and the wilderness, she moved to Steamboat to work at an independent boarding school, where she created meaningful outdoor experiences for students from Kindergarten to 12th grade. She chose to be an AmeriCorps member at Teton Science Schools because she loves the mountains in Jackson and wants to learn how to create impactful place-based curricula. Outside, you can find Sophie skiing, biking, hiking, or fishing; inside, you’ll find her baking or doing a puzzle.
