Briana Pond

Briana Pond (she/her) is from Nashville, Tennessee, and graduated this May from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, with a degree in Environment and Sustainability. She previously worked as an after-school mentor at the Cumberland Forest School in Sewanee, where she supported elementary students in outdoor, nature-based learning. Also, as a Conservation Aid Intern at the Cahaba River Coalition in Birmingham, Alabama, assisting with habitat restoration and environmental education on the river. Through these roles, Briana developed a strong interest in fostering environmental awareness and hands-on learning for students. Briana chose to become an AmeriCorps member at TSS because she is excited to continue growing and gaining experience in outdoor education. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, reading, and spending time outdoors exploring nature with friends.
