Originally from Upstate New York, I have been grateful to call Jackson home for the past five years. I earned my undergraduate degree in Environmental Science from SUNY Plattsburgh before moving to Wyoming in 2021 as an intern with the Casper Mountain Science Program. That experience sparked my interest in education and in connecting students with the natural world. I returned to school to earn my teaching certification through the University of Wyoming and began my teaching career in Idaho.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy taking advantage of all that Jackson and the surrounding mountains have to offer. I spend my free time skiing, mountain biking, and playing hockey, and I also enjoy coaching lacrosse. As an educator, I am particularly passionate about place-based education and using the local environment and community as a meaningful extension of the classroom. I believe students learn best when they can connect what they are learning to the world around them, and I strive to create opportunities for students to explore, ask questions, and develop a deeper understanding of their place in the natural world.
