Ellie Sung

Ellie grew up in Massachusetts, outside of Boston, and is currently a student at Barnard College of Columbia University, studying Neuroscience & Behavior. At Barnard, she is on the executive board of the Barnard/Columbia chapter of Sprout Up, a nonprofit that provides college-student-led environmental education programs to 1st- and 2nd-graders in local Title I NYC public schools. Ellie first discovered her love for environmental education and conservation during her NOLS month-long backpacking course in 2021 and has continued to grow her interest through teaching with Sprout Up. She is excited to return to the West and join Teton Science Schools to inspire STEM literacy and teach children to love and care for the environment. In her free time, Ellie enjoys knitting, baking, listening to music, reading, and exploring new places.
