Izzy is from Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of St Andrews with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Geology. She learned to love nature through camping with her mom and skiing with her sister, and continued to pursue outdoor hobbies as she grew up. She found her love of teaching when she started teaching swim lessons and was an AmeriCorps member at TSS! This past year she has been a substitute Biology teacher at a local high school and helped to organize beach clean ups with the students she taught. She is very passionate about conservation and feels that the best way to learn is through place-based education. In her free time, she can be found on a long walk or run, a climb, or looking at big trees. She is super excited to be back at TSS to learn from her coworkers and be back in the Tetons!
