Sean Groenstein

At 3 years old, Sean recalls driving down Highway 22 and his mother pointing down into Coyote Canyon, where construction teams could be seen adding the finishing touches to campus, and saying to him, “Mijo, that’s going to be your new school.” After attending the Journeys School from PreSchool through 12th Grade, and spending four years in Maine attending Bowdoin College, where he studied Political Philosophy and English, Sean returned to the Mountain Academy to help the school prosper. Sean is a thoughtful and hard-working member of the community who, outside of work, loves exploring rivers in his kayak, reading old books, camping, playing his flute, and above all, having a good conversation.
