Editor’s Note: At Journeys School, all 10th grade students complete a Personal Project as part of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program. Each student chooses a topic of personal interest, identifies a goal for their learning, researches their topic, creates a product to address their goal, and reflects on the process. Personal Projects are a great opportunity for students to work independently on a subject of personal interest and to make a product to share their learning and reflection with others. During the next few weeks, we’ll be highlighting these Personal Projects on the TSS blog. For my Personal Project, I used the mobile app platform ARIS to create a self-guided mobile tour of the TSS Campus. I presented this project at the Jackson Hole Mini Maker Faire and the Teton Science Schools Placed-Based Education Symposium, receiving the Community Leader Award. Follow the instructions below to download the tour onto an apple device.

How to use this tour on your apple device?
1.Connect to the unlocked Wi-Fi network
2.Go to the App Store and download an app called “ARIS”.
3.Open the new app, making sure to allow location services.
4.Click on the faint QR Code symbol below the username and password and scan the following code
5.Take a profile picture and write your username
6.Wait for the tour to load (May take a minute) and further instructions will be provided.
7.Have fun and learn!
