Teacher Conference

Place Network Spring Conference

Tuesday, April 21 (arrival 3-5:00 pm) to Saturday, April 25 (departure by 10:00am)

Designing With and For Nature: Inquiry, Innovation, and Ecological Problem-Solving

A collaborative, intimate, immersive experience for up to 50 teachers and school leaders, in the “place laboratory” of Jackson, WY. We’ll explore place-based education through the “ecology” leg of the Place Triangle, drawing inspiration and healing from the natural world as we design solutions with our places in mind. You’ll leave with practical change ideas or learning experience plans you can apply in your own context.

The conference will include:

  • A mix of brand-new sessions and “greatest hits” from years past, such as unconferences, place-based fundamentals, and opportunities for networking and collaboration
  • Choice of field experiences (nature walk or hike) in Grand Teton National Park
  • Classroom visits on the Jackson Campus and an optional evening at the Teton Valley Campus
  • A closing exhibition of the learning experience or change idea you developed
  • Time to connect and play

                                      …and more!
