Sarah Smith

Sarah (she/her) grew up in Severna Park, Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay. She will graduate in 2026 from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, with a degree in Environmental Studies (and a minor in Educational Studies). She has spent the past few years as a camp counselor, working on oyster restoration projects and learning lots about ecology. Sarah is excited to become an Education Fellow at TSS because it will give her the opportunity to share her love, appreciation, and respect for the outdoors with students and build lasting relationships in a new community. In her free time, she can be found playing ultimate frisbee, reading books, or listening to live music!
