Matilda is from Minneapolis, Minnesota. After a childhood spent in and around the Great Lakes, she moved to Canada to attend McGill University – graduating with a BSc in Anatomy and Cell Biology in 2024. While in college, she became an EMT and completed a transformative National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) semester which sparked her passion for outdoor education and the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Matilda joined Teton Science Schools in Fall 2024 as an AmeriCorps Service Member. As a volunteer, she sharpened her skills as a place-based educator and served as the community partner with Teton County Search & Rescue. Matilda is thrilled to return to TSS and continue to grow as a field instructor. Matilda spends her free time jumping in lakes, skiing, swing dancing, and cooking vegetables.
