Teton Science Schools recently hired Patrick Daley as the Vice President of Advancement. Patrick will be responsible for the Advancement Department. The Vice President of Advancement leads and is responsible for the strategy, structures, and execution of fundraising, marketing and registration at TSS. Daley will be relocating from Philadelphia, PA to begin with TSS in the middle of January.Patrick is a native of Philadelphia and graduated from Pennsylvania State University and also received his Master’s in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. Recently, Patrick has worked in the Development department at the University of Pennsylvania as Class Gift Director and managed reunion campaigns to achieve university alumni fundraising goals. Patrick quickly rose in one of the country’s most established undergraduate reunion fundraising teams.TSS Executive Director Chris Agnew says “Patrick is a strong cultural match to TSS, brings experience from a high performing and well established higher education institution, and already has connections to the Jackson community. We’re thrilled at the opportunity for Patrick to help thousands of people deepen their connection to the Teton Science Schools and further our mission.”Daley will bring experience in systems design, relationship management and best practices in events and marketing to help TSS meet its mission of connecting people, nature and place through education, science and stewardship. Patrick will be a significant contributor as TSS transitions to a central database improving efficacy for all participant registration and information management.Daley stated, “Joining the team at TSS is a perfect match for me both in the mission and the environment. The project-based, experiential learning models have inspired a wide community of support and passionate, talented staff that I am proud to join. I look forward to bringing my experiences and best practices from the university setting and blending those models with the strong foundation already in place. Furthermore, my wife, Laura, and I look forward to raising our young son in such an active community and beautiful part of the country.”The Vice President of Advancement position was previously held by Todd Hanna. Hanna will be transitioning to lead Jackson-based Belay On Advisors, LLC, an organizational consulting firm designed to improve individual and organizational performance. “Todd added positive systems and structures in his departments, promoted effective communication across the organization, and was a coach and mentor to many within TSS. We’ll miss his forward looking leadership and are happy to know we’ll continue to see him in the community.” stated Chris Agnew.
